But if you came here for the long story.. sigh.. here you go.
His debut album "SummerSoul" was a nice pop package filled with short and easygoing songs. It spawned multiple success stories - the extended version of "Kicking Jazz" was released as an anniversary celebration gift and it just so happened to find it's way all across the globe with it being played in malls, coffee shops and even in a radio station in Romania (crazy!). The song has amassed 35,000+ streams on Spotify alone and both versions of "Kicking Jazz" combined have a stream count of around 80,000+ across all streaming platforms. The songs have reached the top of Estonian Deezer Top 100 chart multiple times. The album itself spawned 8 #1 songs out of Ray's total 11 #1's on the same chart. It amassed 50,000+ streams on Spotify in the first year.
His sophomore album "My Heart Passed The Setting Sun" was a change in direction and it was much slower, sadder and included 8D versions of all tracks. The album was meant to be a piece to be listened to and understood - make the listener reflect. Considering a total genre shift, it didn't do too shabby chart-wise. All 12 of it's tracks debuted in the top 100 of the Estonian Deezer chart. This album spawned a new achievement - charting outside of Deezer! It's track "Outro (I Want To Go x Sertraline Swings) (8D Version)" [jesus christ Ray... this sounds like a Lana Del Rey album title] entered the top 200 of Estonian Alternative - Daily chart, being the 187th most streamed alternative song that day.
His third album, "Under The Pink Clouds", was something new and fresh. It took elements from "SummerSoul" by bringing back vocals and making songs more commercially reachable - however the album was no pop package. It's packed with EDM, DnB, Electronica and House. The first single "Forever Stay" debuted at #1 on the Deezer Estonian Top 100 upon its release. A local music streaming service named Fairmus added the album to their main webpage and promoted the album on their editorial playlists, showing genuine interest in the album. It also was the first album to have a music video released to one of its songs - "I'm A Runaway (feat. Mexzy)" was the lucky one.
His fourth album is titled "TIMELESS" and this time the tracks are rougher and wilder than ever. Containing tracks in genres like metal, rock, psy-trance, EDM, afrobeats and, really, everything else in between. Proving his place as a valuable, flexible and genre-bending producer, this album is meaningful to him and he considers it his best piece of work. Considering this is the current ongoing era, would you also like to be timeless and grab yourself an itty-bitty (or a biggy-piggy) piece of merch to be a part in his journey? Yes?
